The crisis should make everyone look at the cost of nuclear as well as the water use and safety. The US has 104 nuclear plants and imports 95% of the uranium. In Arizona there are 3 reactors that use 60 million gallons of water, in a deset ! Not a single nuclear power plant has even been built because it's a money maker. All lose money are are unsustainable. Only a fool would even consider building a new nuclear power plant today.
Well jstack apparently there's some fools in southern Colorado because right now the Pueblo County commissioners are deciding on whether or not to give approval to a new nuclear power plant in Pueblo Colorado. The fool proposing this is an attorney named Don Banner. Who in their right mind would propose something like this during Japan's nuclear disaster? I really hope that the Pueblo Commissioners will do the responsible thing and not approve it.
